I’m a designer/maker from the Midlands but moved to Liverpool for university and settled here ever since.

I studied Theatre Design at university and have since designed, assisted, dressed and worked in wardrobe for a number of professional productions.

I created Rustie as a way to create pieces I want to be making. I love sewing and designing and I’ve been making accessories as presents for friends and family for a few years now, so it just made sense to start selling them.

In the future I want to use the shop to sell clothing pieces too. As a plus-size girl, I’m all too aware how limited clothing options are for people above a size 16 and we don’t all want batwing tops and graphic tee’s. So I’m excited to make the pieces I want to be wearing and see them out and about in the world.

I love bright, bold pieces and funky patterns and hope these handmade pieces give you as much joy to own as they give me to create.
